Letter of Recommendation

From Pastor Mike Jones

Cornerstone Baptist Church · Oakdale, Connecticut

Dear Pastor and Fellow Laborer in Christ,

Grace and peace to you in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ.

It is my privilege to write this letter of recommendation on behalf of my son, Jacob Jones, whom I wholeheartedly commend to you and your church for consideration and support as he pursues the work of church planting.

Of course, I have known Jacob all of his life and have had the blessing of serving alongside him at Cornerstone Baptist Church for the last 15 years, observing firsthand both his Christian character and his commitment to the work of the ministry. Throughout this time, he has consistently demonstrated a genuine love for the Lord Jesus Christ, a passion for the Scriptures, and a burden for reaching souls with the Gospel.

Jacob went through a theological examination by a board of local pastors and was ordained to the ministry by Cornerstone Baptist Church. He has proven himself faithful in the ministries entrusted to him. He has shown a servant’s heart, a willingness to labor diligently, and a spirit that works well with both church leadership and fellow believers. His life reflects the biblical qualifications expected of one who desires to lead and shepherd God’s people. He has exhibited integrity, humility, doctrinal soundness, and a sincere desire to see people discipled and established in local churches.

As our church has watched the Lord develop His calling upon Jacob’s life, we have become convinced that God has gifted and burdened him for the work of church planting. His vision is not merely to gather a crowd but to establish a strong, Bible-centered, Christ-exalting local church that will evangelize the lost, disciple believers, and train future laborers for the harvest.

If you have any questions or desire any additional information regarding Jacob, his testimony, ministry experience, doctrinal convictions, or church planting plans, I would be pleased to speak with you personally.

Thank you for your faithful service to Christ and for your consideration of this recommendation. May the Lord continue to bless your ministry and use your church mightily for His glory.

For the sake of Christ and His kingdom,

Pastor Mike Jones

Letter of Recommendation

From Pastor Larry Richmond

Anchor Baptist Church · Ledyard, Connecticut

It is my joy to recommend Jacob Jones for the task of planting a church in Westerly, Rhode Island. I had the opportunity to be a part of the ordination council when Jacob was ordained. He was well prepared and doctrinally sound in his presentation. I have known Pastor Jake for much of the time I have been pastoring in Ledyard. In the times I have heard him preach, it has been a sound Bible message. I endorse his standards of music being sacred and traditional, in leading and singing the great hymns of the faith. He has been much involved with teens and young people in laying a Biblical foundation for their lives.

I have observed his wife Lauren as a faithful companion and servant of the Lord. His children have been an active part of ministry as well. A faithful family working alongside Brother Jake will be a great asset in planting a church.

The New England area is a mission field in itself. How we need men to come and stay in ministry. Too many have come and left when the going got tough. Jacob is grounded in truth having served as an Assistant Pastor at Cornerstone Baptist Church alongside his father Pastor Mike Jones, and has gained great experience in ministry. He is not a novice, but has been well prepared in planting and pastoring this new church.

I highly recommend Jacob Jones to you for prayer support and financial support. If you have any questions concerning his character and testimony for the Lord, I would be glad to speak with you.

Gratefully in Christ,

Pastor Larry Richmond
